Frankenfaust will provide, a free pup to a search and Rescue organization, a police department, the military, or a government agency, when the dog is used for public protection, criminal apparehension, drug or cadaver searching, or bomb detection.
Requests must be made on departmental letterhead, and signed by the Chief of Police, or k-9 seargent , or organizational director, and a contact phone number must be included.
The puppy is free; all costs incurred up to and including shipping must be paid for in advance, including but not limited too veterinary costs, (health certificates with necessary shots,) transportation to airport, crate.
If you are in the market for a working dog/puppy, for schutzhund, ringsport, or any of the other protection dogs sports, the following conditions will apply. If you want a puppy, the puppy will be between the ages of 8 weeks and 8 months when sold. This is so we can be sure the puppy has the necessary prey drive when sold. Prey drives are like the suckling reflex, they diminish if not stimulated. We will stimulate the prey drive and reinforce it every day, (almost), to make sure the pup you get is ready to go, so to speak.
If you want a grown dog for work, you must be able to come to the kennel and see the dog for yourself. We will no longer sell dogs on any "word of mouth", or observations of what the dog is doing/has done, at the kennels. Airedales do not change hands as readily as other dogs, (shepards, dobermans), and they protect from different stimuli. What a dog does at home, with its handler, is no indication of what it WILL do in another place, with another handler (unknown to the dog).
